01 Set out excavation and control levels
Translate drawings into real site geometry before soil is removed.
- Mark grids, excavation edges, offsets and safe access routes.
- Check formation level against benchmark and drainage assumptions.
- Separate reusable soil, unsuitable material and disposal routes.
Punto de control: No concrete or blinding should be ordered until excavation depth, bearing condition and level records are confirmed.
Herramientas, equipos y acceso: Laser level, Excavator, Plate compactor, Measuring staff
02 Prepare base, blinding and service penetrations
Create a clean, level and coordinated base before reinforcement starts.
- Trim soft spots and compact the formation or sub-base.
- Install blinding concrete where specified to protect reinforcement and waterproofing.
- Fix sleeves and penetrations before reinforcement becomes congested.
Punto de control: Reinforcement should not start until base cleanliness, sleeves and levels are signed off.
Herramientas, equipos y acceso: Compaction tester, Concrete tools, Sleeve templates, String line
03 Place reinforcement, concrete, waterproofing and backfill
Close the foundation only after structural and water-control details are inspectable.
- Check bar spacing, laps, cover, starter bars and embedded items.
- Pour concrete with vibration, level control and curing protection.
- Apply waterproofing, drainage and protection layers before backfill.
- Backfill in layers with compaction records.
Punto de control: Do not backfill until waterproofing, drainage outlet route and hidden work photos are complete.
Herramientas, equipos y acceso: Rebar bender, Vibrator, Cover blocks, Waterproofing roller, Compactor
